Good afternoon, I’d like to speak to Su Mi Lee.
(W-Am)

This is Su Mi speaking.
(M-Cn)

Hi, Su Mi. My name is Jared Williams. I’m from the human resources department of Huntington Technologies. We received your job application for the position of computer programmer. We’d like you to come in for an interview.
(W-Am)

Oh, that’s great! I’ve been waiting to hear from you.
(M-Cn)

There’s just one thing – I do want to make sure you understand that this is only a temporary position.
(W-Am)

Yes, I did read that, but the job description didn’t specify how long the job would be for.
(M-Cn)

Well, the contract would only be for a period of three months. The person we have working in that position right now is about to go on maternity leave.
(W-Am)

OK… I had been hoping for something a bit longer but I’d be happy to come in for an interview. Is there any chance the job might continue after the three months?
(M-Cn)

I really can’t answer that. If there’s enough work and if the company is satisfied with your performance, it would be a possibility. Could you come in this Thursday at 10 A.M. to meet with Rose Smith, the head of research and development?
(W-Am)

Thursday at 10 A.M. That sounds perfect.
(M-Cn)

OK, I’ll schedule the meeting. I’ll send you an e-mail with our address and directions how to find us and my contact information. If you have any questions or need to reschedule the interview, please feel free to call me.
(W-Am)

Thanks very much!
